Professional Journey

Growing up in the diverse city of Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Barinder Cheema was inspired by his uncle, whose ability to improve lives through dentistry left a lasting mark. Watching patients leave pain-free and smiling with confidence motivated him to pursue the same calling. He went on to earn his dental degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. After successfully leading multiple practices, Dr. Cheema now brings his knowledge, leadership, and compassionate care to Yuba City Dentistry Group.

With a focus on restorative dentistry and fluency in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, Dr. Cheema builds strong connections with families throughout Yuba City, Sacramento, Placerville, and beyond. Patients appreciate his straightforward communication, practical treatment advice, and thoughtful, patient-centered approach to dental care.

Beyond the Practice

Away from the office, Dr. Cheema’s competitive nature once led him to the hockey rink, where he proudly represented British Columbia. These days, he enjoys the outdoors—whether hiking, horseback riding, or traveling to explore new destinations.

This Dentistry Group is topnotch. The entire group is friendly, courteous and professional from front desk personnel to techs and doctors (dentists). Their equipment is high tech and so less intimidating than dental equipment I experienced 10 years ago. Plus, they have an "another option" person I'll call her an AOP who can explain that to you if you wish. i.e. Interested in implants? Maybe you're a good candidate. Talk to the AOP. You have nothing to lose, and you gain information.
